Competitive interest rates for everyone in Tenaha.

A secured loan, like Tenaha title loans, is a great option to keep interest rates low, especially for people who may not have the best credit score. An unsecured loan relies on a person's credit history to determine their interest rate, so low credit will often equal a high rate. Since auto title loans are secured by your vehicle, the lender incurs less risk and can then offer lower rates to these applicants (without a credit check).

Even though secured loans usually have lower interest rates, that still doesn't guarantee a competitive rate for your loan. Titlelo works with multiple lenders to ensure you get the very best rates available and loan amounts are based on the value of your vehicle, rather than your credit history. Within seconds, you can be pre-approved for a title loan by entering basic information about yourself and your car.

Kiss your money problems goodbye.

Making ends meet is hard enough. What happens when you just can't do it? Both unexpected expenses and planned events, like holidays, birthdays, and back-to-school can all throw a budget off just enough to put a bill (or bills) in jeopardy. A short-term loan can provide you with the money you need to keep your bills current while addressing your additional expenses.

When you need cash, but do not want to open a new line of credit, a title loan can be the perfect solution. Your loan amount will depend on the value of your car, which will be determined by an inspection by the lender you choose. Titlelo helps you compare lenders and select the one with the best rate and options for you.

Still making payments on your car? No problem.

If your car is not yet paid off, but you still would like to take out a title loan, Titlelo can work with you to find a solution. A title loan on a vehicle with an already-active loan would be referred to as a second-lien on the vehicle. A lien is the legal right of possession over property until another party pays off a debt.

Though Titlelo does not recommend this kind of loan, as it is considered a high-risk loan, we want to empower you to make the best decision for your situation. We can discuss all of your options and provide you with our professional recommendations, but at the end of the day, we will connect you with the lender you choose. Titlelo has worked hard to build relationships with lenders that offer these special loans while still maintaining an excellent reputation.

Texas title loan laws

Texas title loan laws do not have any cap imposed on the amount of money being loaned. However, the interest rate that the lender applies cannot exceed 10%.

Loan providers are registered as Credit Access Businesses (CAB) and act as the broker between borrowers and third-party lenders. These storefronts are allowed to add fees to cover any costs they incur while the loan is being arranged and guaranteed. Meanwhile, the third-party lender can charge interest rates below the 10% cap because of these additional fees. These additional fees have no cap because they follow CAB guidelines, and not title loan guidelines.

Requirements:

As with any other state, obtaining a title loan in Tenaha, TX require the borrower to be at least 18 years of age and must have a valid government-issued ID as proof of identity. The lender may also ask for proof of employment or income, as well as proof of registration and the vehicle’s title.

Loan Extensions:

Unlike other cities, a single term for a title loan in Tenaha can reach up to 180 days. Should the borrower fail to pay within this time frame, the loan can be extended by 30 days as long as the interest and fees are paid. The borrower is allowed to extend his loan up to five times. If these five 30-day periods have been used, the borrower should pay the entire loan in full. Otherwise, the lender may repossess the vehicle.

Repossessions:

Under Texas law, the lender can repossess the vehicle the moment the borrower fails to pay on time. The lender is not obligated by law to provide an advance warning or notice about the repossession, nor does the lender need to secure an order from the court. As long as the peace is not disturbed and no property is damaged, the lender can send a representative to collect the vehicle used as collateral.

This does not mean that vehicle repossession is automatically done by lenders in Texas. Because repossessions also add to the cost of the lender, the lender often chooses to work with the borrower on payment extensions to avoid the additional repossession costs.
